Confidence interval
Topic: Management
A range of values within which the true population value is likely to lie; if a study were repeated many times, 95% of the 95% confidence intervals would contain the true value. A narrow interval shows a precise estimate, and intervals narrow as samples grow. If the interval includes the value of no effect (0 for a difference, 1 for a ratio such as an odds ratio or relative risk), the result is not statistically significant.
- Also known as:
- CI, 95% confidence interval
- In Turkish:
- Güven aralığı
