Confidentiality

The duty to share a client's health information only with people involved in their care who need to know. Information is not disclosed to family, employers or the public without the client's permission or a legal requirement, and clients are never discussed in corridors, elevators or on social media. In Türkiye health data are special category personal data under the data protection law (KVKK); in the US, HIPAA applies.
