Correlation
Topic: Management
The direction and strength of the linear relationship between two numerical variables. Pearson's r (or Spearman's rho for ordinal or skewed data) runs from −1 to +1: the sign shows the direction and the size the strength, with 0 meaning no linear (for Spearman, monotonic) relationship. Regression analysis models an outcome from one or more variables and adjusts for confounders. Correlation does not prove causation; a third variable may explain both.
- Also known as:
- Correlation coefficient, Regression analysis
- In Turkish:
- Korelasyon
