The ministry responsible for health services in Türkiye. Under Presidential Decree No. 1, it protects and promotes public health and reduces disease risks; provides diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services; prevents international public health risks from entering the country; works for the safe, quality supply of medicines and medical devices; and plans the distribution of the health workforce and of health facilities across the country. It licenses health facilities and assigns them to levels of care.
