The decisions, plans and actions public bodies take to reach health goals in a society: laws, regulations, programs and the allocation of resources. In Türkiye, planning, regulating and providing health services is the Ministry of Health's task, and the Social Security Institution runs general health insurance. Nurses help shape and carry out policy by bringing the needs of clients, the profession and the community to decision-makers through professional organizations, committees and workplace policy work.
