An approach to how adults learn; Knowles described adults as self-directed learners who bring life experience, want to know why they should learn something, are ready to learn what helps with their current roles and problems, and prefer knowledge they can apply at once. Pedagogy is the teaching of children. Ask what the client already knows and wants, and build teaching around real problems at home.
