Learning domains
Topic: Community health
The three domains of learning: cognitive (knowledge and thinking, such as naming the signs of hypoglycemia), affective (attitudes, values and feelings, such as accepting the need for daily foot care) and psychomotor (physical skills, such as giving an insulin injection). They build on the classification of Bloom and colleagues. Each needs its own methods: explanation and discussion for cognitive, sharing experiences for affective, and demonstration with return demonstration for psychomotor learning.
