Personal health data protection

Under Türkiye's personal data protection law (Law 6698, KVKK), health data are special category personal data and may not be processed except in the cases article 6, as amended in 2024, lists: for example, explicit consent, or need by people bound by confidentiality for preventive medicine, diagnosis, treatment and care, or the planning and financing of health services. The data controller must take measures against unlawful access. Access only the data your care requires, and report any breach at once.
