Pre-employment examination

Topic: Community health

An examination before starting work to decide whether the worker is fit, in health terms, for the job. Under Law 6331, people who will work in hazardous or very hazardous jobs cannot start without a health report stating they are fit for the work. The report comes from the workplace physician; for less hazardous workplaces with fewer than 50 workers, it may also come from an employee health center (ÇASMER), a family physician or another public provider. A nurse working as other health personnel writes the health and work history on the examination form and assists the physician.
