Notifiable diseases
Topic: Community health
Diseases that must by law be reported to the health authority when diagnosed, because they threaten public health; for example measles, tuberculosis, rabies-risk exposures and viral hepatitis. In Türkiye the Ministry of Health's communicable disease notification system sets which diseases are reported and how quickly. Prompt reporting allows outbreaks to be detected and contacts to be traced.
